Aissa Yazzie (Diné), is a faculty member at Northwest Indian College (NWIC). Aissa has developed Indigenous Research Methodologies through the Native Environmental Science program, a unique place-based, experiential, and culturally-grounded curriculum, drawing on the deep and sustained connections to place and commitment to environmental protection to guide its programming. Aissa is a founding steering committee member of the Indigenous Aquaculture Collaborative.
