Anne Salomon is a Professor and Applied Marine Ecologist at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia Canada, where she leads the Coastal Marine Ecology and Conservation Lab. Anne and her students have been collaborating with coastal Indigenous communities for over 15 years, weaving western science and traditional knowledge to better understand tipping points in kelp forests, sustainability of small-scale fisheries, recovery of endangered and culturally-important species and ancient mariculture innovations such as clam gardens. Anne is a founding steering committee member of the Indigenous Aquaculture Collaborative.
