Melissa Good is the Mariculture Specialist for Alaska Sea Grant. She works closely with Alaska coastal communities, Alaska Native Tribes and Corporations, fisheries, and seafood processors. Recent outreach efforts have focused on “farm-to-table” marketing projects, connecting local shellfish and seaweed farmers with the local community, seaweed farmer training, and aquatic farm permitting guidance. Melissa implements market research towards mariculture needs and establishes technology to help sustainable processing of seaweed and other mariculture resources.
