We are launching this blog to share friendly updates and to amplify the projects and insights from our wonderful community. We invite you to dig in with us!
Our goal is to use this space to provide fresh content about Indigenous Aquaculture in the Pacific region. Posts will feature profiles of individuals in the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii and other Pacific Islands who are working to steward and restore cultural ecosystems. We will also host reflections from guest bloggers, personal stories that connect families and communities to local foods, cultural practices and places. And this blog will be a space where we share newsworthy updates from collaborating community projects. People are doing really innovative stuff, and we want to share some of the good work with you!
Have a story to share? Let us know!
Our first blog feature will spotlight foundational projects to reactivate and steward clam gardens and fishponds. Future posts will shine a light on Indigenous methodologies, valued partners, and delicious recipes.
We are grateful for your interest and engagement, please check back regularly.
