Karen Grosskreutz is a fellow with Alaska Sea Grant. She holds an M.Sc. in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich (Germany) and a B.A. in Human Studies from Warren Wilson College. She has worked as an educator and outdoor guide, and with educational organizations and health cooperatives. She is a Ph.D. student at the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her research interests are in community-based resource management and knowledge co-production in coastal communities. Karen’s current focus is on Alaska’s sea gardens as a fellow working with the Indigenous Aquaculture Collaborative.
